City College Student Awards

At a recent awards ceremony where City College’s Beauty & Holistics department celebrated student achievement, the guest of honour invited to present awards to the students was local businesswoman and former Beauty Therapy student, Clare Rogers. Since being at the College from 1979 to 1981, Clare has gone on to achieve outstanding success with the biggest urban day spa and beauty salon in Brighton, The Treatment Rooms. In 2010, the College named Clare as the inaugural winner of their ‘Golden Alumni’ award for outstanding former students. ‘It was great to present awards to the new graduates in holistic and beauty therapy”, said Clare. “They’re the future of our industry.” Georgia Christoforou, City College’s Curriculum Team Leader for Beauty, said: ‘Clare’s ongoing support means a great deal to the College’s Beauty & Holistics team. She’s a fantastic role model for our students.”
