The Treatment Rooms Owner Made Golden Aumni

Clare Rogers, owner of iconic salon Treatment Rooms in Brighton has been presented with the first ‘Golden Alumni Award’ from City College, Brighton & Hove.

Rogers, who attended the college from 1979 to 1981, said: “I’m very honoured to win this award both as a local business woman and local resident. I’m not an academic and have achieved success by having a very good base of knowledge from my days at City College.

“My time at the College covered everything from beauty treatments and cosmetic science through to flower arranging, business studies, psychology and more. I’d never have known at the time but I’ve used these skills throughout my career.“

City College Principal Phil Frier added: “We feel that Clare is a fantastic role model for our current students which made her the ideal inaugural winner of this award. Former student success stories such as hers show what can be achieved through vocational education.”
