Summer Tips on Looking After Your Skin

Clare Rogers, owner & MD of The Treatment Rooms, this months Beauty Expert on The Good Spa Guide.

“There’s a big difference in summer and winter skin. In the summer, the number one thing you absolutely must do is keep hydrated by drinking water. You’re not just fighting the effects of the warmer weather, but often people exercise more, and so sweat more, too. You have to put fluid back in your system to achieve balance. Exposure to the sun and sunburn will also cause skin to peel.

My tip for avoiding dehydrated post-flight skin is to always take a mini-moisturiser and facial spritz with you on board. Remove your make-up before boarding, then liberally moisturise. Have a lip balm with you, too, and apply as often as you need. Keep moisturising and spritzing all through the flight and you’ll arrive looking great.”
