Absolute Brighton

Founder of The Treatment Rooms Clare Rogers tell us her Absolute favourites in life

My absolute destination…. Truly anywhere that has outdoor activities and a spa with lots of nature, very few people, no telephones and no computers. I have been to Ille Grande, an island off Rio – we did sea kayaking and trekking all followed by an outdoor massage at the end of the day. It was truly bliss.

My absolute beauty fix…. It would have to be plenty of sleep and water followed by a really good massage. My beauty philosophy is prevention rather than cure, so if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

My absolute dream car…. I don’t actually drive as I feel it is a waste of money for me but if I did it would have to be a Mini Cooper!

My absolute shop…. I let the girls down here I’m afraid as I am not a fan of shopping… I get too claustrophobic! I tend to wear black for convenience and buy three of something I like. In Brighton I shop at Gresham Blake, Motto and Elir, all the staff at these shops are fantastic as they know I am a five minute shopper! Other than clothes shopping, I love looking around markets in Paris and the UK, especially for 1930s Art Deco furniture.

My absolute restaurant…. In Brighton I love One Paston Place, Blanch House, Gingerman and Gars. In London I love Hakkasan for its fantastic atmosphere and the Wolseley for a step back in time.

My absolute treasured item….. My husband, my health and my cats. I am not really a material girl.

My absolute day out…. It would have to be a girly day! I just love spending time with my girlfriends, enjoying a a spot of lunch, combined with lots of laughter.

My absolute DVD…. I’m such a movie fan and I have more than one favourite. I like a film that provokes a strong feeling. House of Sand and Fog was a rollercoaster of emotion. I adore Daniel Day Lewis, I could watch him over and over again.

My absolute clothes designer… I love unstructured, simple design. My wardrobe has pieces from Nicole Farhi, Alberta Ferrati and Armani. For casual wear you can’t beat Gap.

My absolute perfume…. I adore Jo Malone’s Red Roses. When I wear this you can smell me coming!

My absolute dream dinner companion…. Truly my husband. I see so little of him that it is a real treat to sit down and eat together, oh and he always lets me taste his food.
